After more than 20 years of working as a lawyer in industry (European head of Cloud and SaaS at IBM for a large part of it), I was itching to change things! Contracts are the lifeblood of business and I was on a mission to make them simpler, balanced and more understandable for all users.
So, I set up PaLiDa to do just that!
I am now helping blue-chip companies and start-ups unlock the power in their contracts through better design and simplification.
They are reaping the benefits, including financial!
I am lucky to partner with the design legend and pioneer Stefania Passera in design projects!
What else do I do?
I advise the management teams of legal technology start-ups on product development, user journey and strategy. My years of working in industry ensures that I understand what companies need as users of legal tech. My help with user journeys is a key ingredient for success!
With Stefania Passera, I also provide training and workshops in contract design and simplification. My particular expertise is in training drafters to make their contracts more balanced, reduce negotiation times and reap the benefits.

Meet Paula Doyle
I am a lawyer with over 20 years’ experience of working in industry, having spent 13 of those years at IBM specialising in “as a Service” transactions, heading up the Cloud and SaaS legal team across Europe. In 2018, I left full-time lawyering to work with innovative organisations on the business side, initially joining late-stage start-up Globality as Vice President of legal services and then joining WorldCC as its Chief Legal Innovation Officer (I am now their advisor in residence).
Today, I am a legal innovation advisor to a broad base of clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to start-ups. I also work closely with Passera Designs on contract simplification and design. In addition to running end to end projects, we train users to learn how to design better contracts themselves!
